Acorn, a local charity, supports those facing an unplanned pregnancy through free pregnancy testing, confidential counselling and on-going support. Counselling is also provided to women needing post abortion help and support coming to terms with a miscarriage or loss of a baby. Health education is provided to a number of local schools as part of their PHSE/ Citizenship curriculum.
