Penzance Guitar Tuition

Do you want to learn to play the guitar?

Is there a song you would love to play on the guitar but just don’t know how to?

Why not have one-to-one lessons and start playing straight away?

I charge just £12 for a one hour lesson.

I teach rhythm guitar, lead guitar and bass guitar.

I teach any age, absolute beginner or more accomplished.

I teach a modern style of guitar suitable for playing rock, folk, pop, punk, reggae, metal or indie.

I can also do band coaching.

My Philosophy
I believe in tailoring the lessons to the individual student. I also believe in learning by doing. I aim to get each student playing the song they would most like to play by their second lesson. I believe this is far more inspiring than endlessly strumming one or even several chords.

An inspired student practices and a student that practices learns.

I do not spend a lot of time teaching theory, although students do learn theory as we go along. I also avoid endlessly practicing scales, although once a student progresses to the point where they want to start to play lead guitar, then scales become important. Nevertheless it can still be taught in a fun and exciting way.
